Choose Your Background
Almost anything can work as the background to a portrait, provided that background is properly blurred to emphasis the person in the photo. The only thing that matters is consistency; if you are having several people photographed, make sure the background is the same, as this looks great on your website.

Adventurous Portraits
It”s still surprising to me how much corporate portrait photography is almost exactly the same. The same backgrounds and the same poses, with very little additional processing of manipulation to make them more dynamic and exciting.
With just a little forethought and digital trickery, your portraits can be quickly improved to be much more engaging. Between jobs …
Just finished a job by regents canal, and I’m off to the Institute of Directors this afternoon. In the meantime I’ve found the perfect spot to keep cool in the heat; the roof garden of the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Just the hint of a breeze and the scent of herbs …
Memories of Glastonbury 2015
Normally I would be at Glastonbury this week, but this is its year off so I’ll be working in London instead. These are the sorts of things that I’m lucky enough to see and photograph when I’m there, in this case in 2015.
Sports Action at Belvedere Wharf
Sometimes a job has more unusual requirements. At Belvedere Wharf I got to watch archery, and chase dune buggies around a dusty construction site. It's not often I need a hard hat when taking pictures.
The EOA gets that HOC Magic
The Employee Ownership Association holds an annual commons dinner in the magnificent setting of the members dining room at the House of Commons. They also made sure that they got some great pictures of a packed room and a rapt audience. The views over the river from this side of HOC are great; and the food isn't bad either.
Conferences After Hours
Once the business of the day is over, a great drinks reception or dinner can put the seal on a great day for your delegates. The experience will help ensure that they come back again next year.
